9 peddlers nabbed, poppy husk seized

Abohar, November 8

The Rajasthan police on Thursday claimed to have nabbed nine drug peddlers in the twin border districts of Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh.

The police seized 20-kg poppy husk from Gurtej Singh of Karnisar and Harwinder Singh of Padampur by intercepting a motorcycle they were riding on. Raj Kumar Dhanak and Neeraj Sindhi were nabbed with 26-kg poppy husk in a raid at a house.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell in Hanumangarh seized 790 sedative tablets from Joga Ram, Iliyas Ahmad, Subhash Suthar of Ramsara village and a minor boy by intercepting them on the Tibbi Road. Talwara resident Gurpreet Singh was nabbed with 2.16-gm smack. — OC
