Chandigarh, November 6

Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday launched “business first portal” with an aim to boost investment in the state.

Pointing out that the portal, as a single-window clearance resource, would provide an independent interface to investors for the redressal of their industrial grievance, feedback and suggestions, Capt Amarinder said the facility would help bring fiscal incentives to investors in a time-bound manner under the Industrial and Development Policy, 2017.

The portal would also be instrumental in creating job opportunities through the establishment of new industrial ventures across the state, which would help the government achieve its target under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar scheme, the CM said.

Rajat Aggarwal, CEO, Invest Punjab, gave a presentation about the portal and pointed out the detailed schemes and operational guidelines for availing fiscal incentives under the new industrial policy.
