Immolation bid: main accused fail to join probe, report today

Muktsar: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Lakhmir Singh, who is conducting a probe regarding an immolation bid by a vegetable vendor in Gidderbaha, would submit his report on Friday. The ADC said, “Among the five accused, Radheshyam Chhabra and his son Manu did not turn up to get their statements recorded.” The duo and three unidentified persons had been booked for looting and vandalising Manish Kumar’s kiosk in the vegetable market. In his complaint, Manish had accused close aides of Congress Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring of  threatening him to remove his kiosk. TNS
