Tractor-trailer gutted, driver escapes

Our Correspondent

Abohar, March 20

A tractor-trailer was partially damaged after it touched a high-tension electricity wire outside a Hyundai showroom on the Hanumangarh-Abohar bypass near Sriganganagar on Monday. Its driver sustained a severe shock. Kuldeep (47) of Jhajjar (Haryana) was reversing the tractor-trailer after offloading the cars.

The vehicle accidentally touched low-lying high-tension electricity wires. Kuldeep suffered a severe shock and fell on the road and the vehicle caught fire. Fire tenders got power supply snapped from the grid substation and then doused the fire. Kuldeep has been hospitalised. — OC
