Gidderbaha, March 20

The Congress government may have taken the decision of doing away with the red beacon to end the VIP culture, but the pilot vehicle of Congress MLA from Gidderbaha-cum-IYC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring was seen sporting a red beacon today.

When Warring was asked about the red beacon installed atop the Gypsy running as a pilot vehicle in his cavalcade, he said,

“Security personnel had installed it about three days ago. However, if the rules do not allow, it will be removed. I welcome the decision of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder to do away with the VIP culture. I had come to know about it through newspapers yesterday.”

Notably, Warring had come to attend a meeting in the local Municipal Council office. Later, the red beacon was removed from the vehicle.
