3 booked for assault

Abohar: The Khuyiansarwer police have booked Het Ram, his wife Kaushalya and son Raju of Killianwali village after their neighbour alleged that they had assaulted her. She alleged she had resisted a molestation attempt by Het Ram who had forcibly entered her house on Sunday. The woman has been hospitalised, her husband is working as a medical practitioner in Rajasthan. A case under Sections 376, 511, 323 and 34 of the IPC has been registered. OC

2 drown in water tanks  

Abohar: An eight-year-old boy, Kamaldeep, was found drowned in a water tank at his house in Panjpeer colony here on Monday afternoon when his mother returned after purchasing vegetables from a shop. Saddam Khan (21) too drowned in a reservoir in the fields at Chak 15SGR village in Sriganganagar on Sunday. He had gone to the fields with his goats and sheep. His parents said he might have slipped while trying to drink water. Meanwhile, the body of Rajesh Bishnoi (41) was also found hanging from a ceiling fan at his house in Shyam Nagar, Sriganganagar, on Sunday. His family said he  was a drug addict. OC
