Bopanna, Roger-Vasselin lose in Sydney

Rohan Bopanna and Edouard Roger-Vasselin fought their hearts out before losing to the world No. 1 pair of Lukasz Kubot and and Marcelo Melo in the semifinals of the Sydney International here today. The fourth seeds lost 4-6 7-5 8-10 in one hour and 29 minutes.

Comeback wins for HP, Delhi in national hockey

Hockey Himachal came from two goals down to beat Kerala 3-2 in the senior men’s hockey National Championship (B Division) here today. In another matches, Punjab National Bank beat Hockey Madhya Bharat 9-0, Hockey Haryana beat Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 16-0.

ISL: Goa beat Jamshedpur 

Manuel Lanzarote scored a fine brace to end FC Goa's three-match winless run as his side beat Jamshedpur FC 2-1 in an Indian Super League (ISL) game here on Thursday. 

Hyderabad beat Bengaluru, take top spot 

Hyderabad Hunters, backed by sterling displays from Sai Praneeth and Carolina Marin, beat Bengaluru Blasters to claim the top spot in the Premier Badminton League here today. Playing their last league match, Hyderabad downed Bengaluru 5-0 and claimed six points to swell their tally to 20 points.

Chelsea wasted a chance to take control of their League Cup semifinal against Arsenal as the misfiring Blues were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw in Wednesday’s first leg.
