Villagers from Majirkanda, Baltari, Kanari, Githigara, Tarigaon, Taleswar, Amtari, Simu and Takula, near Jhoolaghat town on the border with Nepal have formed a committee, The Pancheswar Bandh Doob Kshetra Prabhavit Sangharsh Samiti at Jhoolaghat and demanded sufficient and proper employment and compensation for the affected persons.

“We have requested parties not to make it a political issue and let the affected villagers struggle for their demands,” said Chandra Shekher Bhatt, president of the samiti.
