Dehradun, March 20

Members of the students’ union of DAV (PG) College held a protest on college premises today.

They said the college administration should check “irregularities” in admissions wherein candidates submit fake documents to secure admissions. They presented a memorandum of their demands to College Principal Devender Bhasin.

Under the leadership of DAV (PG) College Students’ Union general secretary Kapil Sharma, the students raised slogans against the college administration.

They said memorandum highlighting their demands was submitted several times, but to no avail. They said the college administration should take effective steps to check fake admissions. They students threatened to intensify agitation if the college administration does not take immediate steps to address their grievances. The students said the college administration should sanction funds to improve basic amenities.

They said the college administration should sanction funds to make arrangements for clean potable water in the college.
